I was kicking myself today when I realised I forgot to wear my blue and gold Topshop large stud earrings with this outfit. I love how brown/tan and blue tones compliment each other and think the earrings would've really made this outfit complete.

Funnily enough (and completely unintentionally) I stumbled upon a fantastic site dedicated to independent creative sellers and discovered the above earrings. Aren't they striking! Forget my silly studs (even though I love them) -I wish I was wearing these today!

This outfit consists of various items I rarely wear anymore (with the exception of the shirt) -and it's not necessarily a case of "growing out" of them or disliking them. As with many things in life I guess it's simply because years have passed since I got them and naturally I've focused on my current new purchases at any one time -hence, forgetting about old favourites.

This isn't necessariy an outfit I'd wear anymore (I purchased the bow and tutu's while going through a strong girly girl phase with my style) but all the while it was refreshing to revisit some old favourites & style them together; something I'd never done before.

Overall, I think it turned out rather nicely :)

So relieved it's finally summer :)

Finally was able to snatch up a pair of JC's Clinic's and I have to say I'm extremely impressed: fantastically made (certainly don't look cheap) and unbelievably comfortable.

I've become complacent with pairing this particular blouse with everything high-waisted. The blouse + these cool retro inspired jeans I picked up along the way = a very "psychedelic" vibe, so I played my That 70s Show look off with the fur and my favourite quirky platforms.

I'm not a fan of hats but when I saw the colour of this beret a year ago I immediately thought: PRINCE!! Being rather cute and all, along with my admiration for the legend -inevitablely, it ended up in my life. :)

Oh my, coffee and pie! (lol!!) It's been far toooo long since I've mingled in this glorious community we know as fashion blogging. Almost a whole month to be exact.

Lots of you's that stop by my blog probably thought I may have stopped all together since a month is practically a whole year in Blogosphere.

Jeeeezz... where should I start *large sigh and feeling rather baffled since there's so much I'd like to say (but I wont bore you!)*

1. A HUGE THANKS and praise to all the lovelies that have still been supporting NQQxxx during my hefty absence. Thanks a bunch for all your lovely comments and feedback.

2. ANOTHER HUGE THANKS to the quaintrelles that are newly and currently following my blog. I promise to be a better blogger from now on and to keep all you's interested!

3. THE IMAGES ABOVE were taken by my a lovely friend of mine studying Art & Design. I was lucky enough to be part of her current assignment. Hope you's like :)

4. AND FINALLY, I have a job interview tomorrow (hurrrah for me!!) so hopefully if everything goes well I'll snatch it up and will finally be able to fulfill my goal of owning a DSLR. but until then you'll notice the blog will be more inspiration based than before, rather than focusing mostly on what I wear. I love posting outfits and viewing all of yours so I'll certainly be posting absolutely loads once I'm in the money lane.

Walter Steiger the legendary luxury shoe designer, has stolen my vulnerable heart with these babies.

I've never been a big fan of animal prints but these beauties are definitely an exception -so exquisitely made from the sexy sophisticated silhouette to the overall design.... perfection <3.

Recently saw Solange Knowles strutting her stuff in these in an editorial for an independent magazine (sorry forgot the details) -all I have to say is lucky bitch!

Found these interesting silver bangles in my mum's jewellary collection. If I'm correct, the ends have been moulded into ram heads. Pretty cool...

As the 2nd image disguises the true dizzying height of these, here they are in all their glory.

Still adjusting to my new timetable... having Thursdays and Fridays as 'self-directed' seemed great at first -until I realised how much work we have to do. College + from home -the two don't really mix do they!

P.S: Ever since I saw THIS POST by The Culture Cynic, I knew I just had to purchase a high-waisted leather pencil skirt. This girl's a true inspiration.

These Jean Paul Gaultier wooden stack platforms are insanely high.

Instead of solely concentrating and admiring the incredible workmanship and various designs, all I could think was "those poor poor models". Haven't seen the show but I wouldn't be suprised if at least a couple of the models 'stacked it'. :-/

Is it just me, or are the pom-poms on the last pair just a tad unecessary?? Though I do have a genorous amount of love for the 1st & 3rd pair....

My sister (above) and I have been experimenting with makeup recently since we're now officially off school and I thought it would be a cool idea to include beauty based posts....

These posts will range from makeup looks created by me (such as above) to inspiring looks I've seen in the likes of magazines, etc, to beauty and skincare products that are worth mentioning.

The scandolous booties above remind me of a combination of Karla's infamous 'stripper boots' and "sneaker heels" such as THESE.

And I love the fact that I can proudly say that I am the delighted owner of the shocking blue first pair. Can't wait to play around with these in upcoming posts... :-)

Just downloaded an Internet browser update (with the addition of Google Chrome, just because...)

I've had these particular images at the back of my mind now for some time, so I thought I'd share :-)

As you may already know, this recent collection of Balenciaga has recieved a generous amount of criticism, e.g. 'the skirts are reminiscent of large nappies (diapers)'.... 'the trousers are too MC Hammer-esque'.... I've even come across a critique that compared the (in my view, spectacular) draping to 'sagging skin'!

I personally love the collection and the above are my particular favourite looks. I admire the beautiful draping and unique colour palette used. Head designer Nicolas Ghesquiere was inspired by the draping of sari's found in India & Pakistan, which is certainly noticable especially in the draping of the trousers.

Myself along with my mum will be opening an online store soonish (extra enthasis on the 'ish')

Hopefully/probably via EBAY! as out of the most popular online trading stores, Ebay has proven to be a favourite for buyers and sellers (if I'm correct???) and it seems to be considerably easy to get around the site.

I'm not to sure what my mum wants to sell but as for me, I'll be giving you's lovely garments (modern and vintage) that I love very much but I simply cannot afford to keep. :-(

TODAY I HURRIEDLY SCUFFLED AROUND SOME UNIQUE VINTAGE STORES I KNOW OF TO FIND SOME LOVELY ITEMS TO INCLUDE IN THE STORE!

However, there's ONE PROBLEM...: I'm kind of having a love affair with the three treasures that I discovered...(opps :-?)

Item 1 - Vintage highwaisted tapered yellow trousers (why they fit me so well, I don't know...)

Item 2 - Vintage highwaisted leather black pencil skirt (I made only one but still crucial mistake when purchasing this: trying it on... it fits me soooo well -I think I'm going to find this the hardest to let go :-(

Item 3 - Vintage highwaisted checkered print trousers (OMG! these are seriously crazy! I can't wait to get them on here as I can't explain them. They're definitely unique!... Oh yeah and again, they fit me perfectly -tut.)

If you didn't notice, I LOVE vintage as well as highwaisted garments! <3

WILL DEFINITELY BE INCLUDING THESE ITEMS IN PARTICULAR IN OUTFIT POSTS TO GIVE YOU'S VISUALS.

What would the fashion industry be without these two girls?

They're both equally beautiful, quirky and intelligent.

A pair of the best replicas I've seen to date.

Dune's version of Christian Louboutin's 'Deva' bootie really does the designer version justice -especially in this electric blue colour!

Though I'm undecided on whether I prefer Dune's zipped back or Louboutin's original open back... hmmm... both designs work wonderfully.

Since I'm officially done with education... until September, I've had extra time to catch up with my reading and to surf the net.

We have a relatively old book of photography that I rediscovered that is dedicated to images of humorous infants that makes me smile everytime I revisit the photos. I've also come across many more amusing images that I've discovered over time through various other sources as well.

As a consequence, 'Daily Quirkxxx' posts will be short and sweet daily posts that will hopefully brighten up your day. So whenever you're feeling down or not so positive for whatever reason just remember that NQQxxx will include a cheerful mini post daily to lift your spirits, whether they need lifting or you just happen to be passing by.

It may be hard for international readers to take in, but Topshop wasn't always so top of the shops.

I rarely used to shop there -it was more or less on the same level as other retailers... nothing special.

I'd say over the past 5 years they've gradually built up their reputation to the point where they're now known as TOPSHOP: staple store for diverse style. Literally any female regardless of their age, culture and of course style preferences can head into TS and find atleast one garment that they love.

And now for the mini AA tribute.... (drumroll please!....)

Their new releases are just.... aweworthy.... who else can make such simple basic clothing look so good.... and at relatively cheap prices -might I add! ALOT caught my attention but here are my favourites. <3

I've wanted an oversized see-through tee for the lonnngest time now.... just been waiting for a store that I know of to sell them (I HATE having to do that) as I have NO IDEA how to achieve the 'burn-out' effect DIY style -I'd just end up burning a hole through the garment! Over a black AA bodycon dress and caged platforms this can do no harm xxx

I've already thought of 201 ways of wearing and using this super sheer circle scarf -obviously won't be as warm as the solid version but i'm pro-all-things-sheer right now.... and I'm pretty sure it's not a phrase....

Have to admit, I find the gold slightly intimidating eventhough i'm definitely not shy when it comes to boldness. I LOVE the fact the colour is an "antiquey" shade of gold rather than metalic. -which I wouldn't have expected from AA.

And now for my favourite gament.... i'm not one to go out of my way for attention but these just beg to be noticed!

These have been out for some time now and I'm not sure why I haven't got myself a pair yet???? As my phone's lost I need to invest in a new one so the shades will have to wait :-(

This LDxxx post is dedicated to a few lovelies that never -but definetely should have- made it into my wardrobe....these are a few great treasures that are no longer available and that i'm now at this very moment kicking myself over for being so indecisive and letting them drift away into the stylish hands of others -or not so stylish, which is an even greater shame....I can only now hope that they're recieving as much love as I would have adorned onto them.

This structured origami skirt is just beyond words when it comes to well designed and well made clothes at reasonable prices. Sizes 8 & 10 (UK) had already sold out within the 2nd week of it being released for purchase! -so since i'm a size 10 -I had no chance from the beginning!

I saw a girl last week whilst out and about in Leister Square wearing it and it looks as great in person as it does in this picture.... shame, shame, shame..... :-(

But on the bright side, I have become aware of a similar style skirt selling in New Look -thanks to Look magazine -it's not as lovely -but the two definetely share similarities :-)

These caged platforms are technically still available in this colour arrangment only -in a size 4 (UK), 6 (US) -which is WAYYYYYY to small for my feet! -so in that case, for me they're gone :-( The all black ones were lovely two.

Miss Selfridge are REALLY starting to up their game - i've been noticing this more & more since Christmas.

This lovely light grey playsuit is just.... GREAT!!!!.... HEAVILY considered purchasing it..... -then realised that it was sleeveless and that I've always wanted a playsuit with sleeves (like slouchy rolled up at the cuff ones <3)

-I actually even thought about doing a DIY thingy-mijigy and putting on sleeves myself -but i'm no seamtress -so that's just stupid -OR- just wearing a shirt over it -but it wouldn't be the same.....oh well......if you LOVE what you see - BUY IT NOWWWW!!!

This third LDxxx post focuses on simplicity and a few of my favourite items that I believe work wonderfully to create effortless chic. (Plus some cosmetics that scream 'summer lovin!')

Finally now that the weather is surely (but slowly unfortunately for us Brits!) warming up I'm feeling the erge to express my easy-going, simplistic side through my outfits.

In the next couple of months expect to see me wearing a considerable amount of light "flowy" pieces, florals, pastels, cropped pieces and much more to express my general "summertime personality" -lazy, laid back, relaxed, easy-going and joyous (b/c it's finally summer! YAY!).

Below are some things I'm incorporating back into my outfits from last summer & that I already know i'll be wearing religiously come end of May onwards! xxx

1) Oversized shirts/ cropped tees

My personal preferred colour is simply white -I never iron my oversized shirts b/c I LOVE the relaxed lazy feeling an unironed shirt gives -plus it saves time! xxx

I fell in love with this oversized cropped floral print tee from TS -but when I went in store to try it on, it was just TOO oversized -it only came in 2 sizes and the smaller size (S/M) looked ridiculous on me. Instead of looking lazy & chic it looked XXL and overly stretched. It's not really fair for girls who are smaller on top (I'm only a size UK 8 on top) as it literally hanged off my body and just looked silly. :-( It looks great in this picture though!

3) Short, neat and simple coloured nails

Rihanna works this look so so well. -A few of my friends love acrylic nails with those arty designs on the tips -I never say anything b/c it doesn't bother me at all (and why should it?) -but I think a lot of the styles are really tacky -classic, short square and rounded tip nails look so much better (in my opinion). Why not add some much needed colour (after this dull winter) to your nails for added fun! xxx

4) Lilac hued lipstick

I have to admit that I'm still a bit intimidated to try out this candy colour but I still think its so cool and if you're brave enough I say go for it?! I LOVE this backless sequined dress Jessica Stam's wearing! MUST start on a mission to find one similar -eventhough I've got a strong feeling I still won't be 100% satisfied since this is the EXACT type of mini dress I want :-(

You can't see them in this picture -but the buttons on this blazer are lovely. -my beyond boring room... I'm just too damn lazy to fix it up! It's in desperate need of an overdue revamp. Just looking at this picture reminds me...

There's so many scrumptious lovelies that are just bombarding my brain and that are quite honestly (& I'm too tired to put it in another way!) are making me feel quite tipsy!

Though the main three on my mind are:

Anything backless
Polkadots (I have a weak spot for quite large ones...)

I know - so random, right??! But I'm just typing what's on my mind...

1) Platforms - I have a lovely pair from Topshop (pictured) that I purchased awhile back that come to think of it -I haven't actually worn anywhere yet. Odd.! It sounds corny but everytime I open the box they patiently still lay in to peek at them, they make me smile with pride. -I luckily grabbed the last pair in my size....and ran!

2) When I say anything backless -I MEAN- anything backless -or atleast semibackless. I think there's something sensually intriguing when a women's front is covered and then she turns around to reveal the wonderful open space in the garment she is wearing that exposes her skin from her neck to the small of her back......Oh sooo lovely.

3) Polkadots! They scream 1984 like no other, but I still love them. Maybe b/c they're fun and exciting and can add a little "thrill" to what could be referred to as a "serious" outfit. (Bold lines, smart tailoring, etc...) I have a fabulous vintage inspired blazer from Miss Selfridge (pictured) that I adore for its fashionable sense of humour.

P.S - I HAVE SOOO MANY TREASURES IN MY WARDROBE THAT I CAN'T WAIT TO GET ON HERE.!!! Ooooooh I'm just daydreaming at this very moment about my bright sweet fluffy angora cardigan (way too many adjectives!!) that I seriously need to wear much more often. It reminds me of neon coloured candy floss....Mmmmmm!

London's oozing to the brim with 'about to blow' fashion talents - such as designers, photographers, writers', models (check out the fresh face of Jourdan Dunn) etc but Luella Bartley is one of the Brits that has already secured her placement within the fashion industry internationally.

I knew from the very beginning that if and when I did get round to blogging that a special post dedicated to Luella would be one of my first. Nomatter, what influences are included within any of their collections, femininity and classic beauty are always key constants within all of Luella's clothing.

Luella, showcased their S/S collection this week at London Fashion Week, bright and early on Monday morning. The collection (that was also previewed late last year) was (only because I can't think of a better word): brilliant! I LOVE contrast and Luella's collection was full of it. I.e. clashing colours, femininity fused with masculinity, bright colour alongside subdued darker tones.... I love how in this collection as with others before, Luella is taking big risks and has successfully made them work effortlessly. The bright rainbow clashing colours and the so so many frills in so so many forms could of been a complete disaster but the fashion house made them work my keeping the siluoettes of the garments simple and classic (straight legged trousers, blouses, etc) as not to compete with the extravagant colours and patterns. The result: perfection (or atleast as close as they could come!).

The accessories in general were pretty and very feminine but the shoes (the "heart-topped" ones in particular) were my favourite. So colourful and girly - and I'm not the girlyest girl but just drolling over my keyboard whilst staring at them on my PC made me feel like I was! I LOVE the pair in the last picture plus the pastel coloured version in the 1st image of the 1st picture. The all lilac coloured ones are soooo lovely too (same picture, 4th image)

My favourite pair are my brown Topshop ones. Please ignore my fluffy boots in the back. They're my alternative to slippers. Soooo comfy.

Me wearing 'Pinch Me'

My 'love drunkxxx' posts are going to be showing things from apparel to just any other products in general (such as makeup or skincare products) that I've:

1) already purchased and highly recommend

and/or

2) that I really want to get my hands on for whatever reason (like the perfect pair of shoes that I know will go with everything in my wardrobe or a great beauty product that I've heard great reviews about).

This first post features:

1) My Topshop 'Anderson' booties that I purchased a while back and I've had a great experience with them so far. They seem to go with approx. 80% of my wardrobe, which I wasn't expecting when I brought them. I initially thought I'd have to work them in but luckily they fit in effortlessly! They give an edgy appeal to any outfit and eventhough the heel is spindly and thin, they actually aren't as bad on your feet as one would expect. (They do absolutely KILL your feet after 3-4 hrs of non-stop standing though! But I initially predicted that before investing.) Unfortunetely they've sold out in TS but if you like what you see in the picture it is likely that ebay has a couple of pairs on sell. OR alternatively try Steve Madden as they have a similar style for sale. xxx

2) Brogues! (or oxfords as you call them in the US) I LOVE these! I find that the only downer to them now is that they've become 'trendy'. I don't think it's ever a good thing when something becomes so popular that anyone who's anyone begins to buy it. I'd been wearing these retro grandaddy inspired shoes (as I call them!) for years before they became 'the thing to wear' and unlike with most other 'now on-trend' items, which lose their appeal to me I still love these because they're too cool and add an element of fun & quirkyness (is this a word!??) to my outfits. So for me they're not just a trendy fad but they're here to stay. :-) The ones pictured are from TS - they're good quality and come in a great range of colours right now. And if your looking for a more masculine inspired style, what about these?

3) MAC cosmetic's 'pinch me' blush. L.O.V.E. I purchased this when I was around 16 as one of my first blushes when I was first beginning to experiment wearing makeup that wasn't mascara or lipgloss. Great colour for a good range of skintones from medium-fair to dark. It's a sheertone blush so the darker your skin tone the more you need to apply for the colour to show up well - just be careful so not to end up looking freaky- because as we all know blusher is easy to go too far with. My foundation shade in MAC is NC50 and this blush shade gives a natural sheer pop of healthy light coral-red to my cheeks. I use this shade as my 'daytime' blusher when I choose to wear makeup during the day because the colour's subtle, and I sometimes use it during the evening with a sweep of bronzing powder on top to give a stronger but still natural glow. Definetely recommend to tanned and darker toned women who want to start experimenting with blusher but don't know where to start.

I thought I'd start of my blog by introducing myself :

I'm a student - I'm 18 - I live in London, England - and I'm here to share my style as well as gather inspiration from others.

Why I chose to start a blog: I've been reading other blogs for years now and finally thought why not start up the challange of creating my own.

What will this blog include: Definetly my interpretation of fashion and how I incorporate that into my own style - I'm quite a random person so do expect some random posts such as posts on other subjects that I like such as the theatre, food, makeup (I have too admit I think I'm developing an obsession...I never feel I have enough! Eventhough I do!), and also expect posts on just my take on whats happening in the world in general.

Inspiration: >Other fashion blogs such as Karla's Closet and Sex and Coffee. Karlas style is great. Obviously, like with anyone, she wears some things that I wouldn't (like her stripper boots) but what inspires me about that girl is that WHATEVER she wears -nomatter how crazy it is- she always makes it her own.

> Just other ordinary people that I see walking past me on the street -it's always refreshing to see someone wear a classic piece of clothing such as a blazer or white shirt in an inventive or alternative way.

>Foods - I know that sounds weird! But some foods colours and textures are lovely, which sometimes causes me to think to myself "the texture of this exotic fruit would look and feel fantastic on a garment." Strange. But I'm being honest.

My style: Umm…this is hard! because I don’t actually have just ONE main style – what I end up wearing on a particular day usually depends on my mood – I use my clothing to display a side of my personality that I feel is dominate on that day , i.e, one day I might be feeling very girly, whereas the next quite androgynous.But if I had to define my style, I’d say its all about fusion and experimentation. I LOVE playing around with different colours and patterns -from the boldest to the most neutral. I LOVE blazers -how they can add an effortless element of style, class and masculinity to any outfit. I LOVE simplicity and extravagance just as much as each other so I guess my style usually meets in the middle. I could go on for ever but I’ve already said more than enough. :-P

Favourite stores: AMERICAN APPAREL - be sure to see quite alot of AA clothing popping up in my posts! I love that they're so simple and effortless and great for layering - URBAN OUTFITTERS - TOPSHOP - MISS SELFRIDGE - CHARITY STORES - ROKIT (one of the best for cheap vintage in London) & TK MAXX ( great for designer clothes at bargain prices) my sister got her Dior Holy Communion dress from here for like 50 pounds!
