Retrospectivexxx

Oh my, coffee and pie! (lol!!) It's been far toooo long since I've mingled in this glorious community we know as fashion blogging. Almost a whole month to be exact.

Lots of you's that stop by my blog probably thought I may have stopped all together since a month is practically a whole year in Blogosphere.

Jeeeezz... where should I start *large sigh and feeling rather baffled since there's so much I'd like to say (but I wont bore you!)*

1. A HUGE THANKS and praise to all the lovelies that have still been supporting NQQxxx during my hefty absence. Thanks a bunch for all your lovely comments and feedback.

2. ANOTHER HUGE THANKS to the quaintrelles that are newly and currently following my blog. I promise to be a better blogger from now on and to keep all you's interested!

3. THE IMAGES ABOVE were taken by my a lovely friend of mine studying Art & Design. I was lucky enough to be part of her current assignment. Hope you's like :)

4. AND FINALLY, I have a job interview tomorrow (hurrrah for me!!) so hopefully if everything goes well I'll snatch it up and will finally be able to fulfill my goal of owning a DSLR. but until then you'll notice the blog will be more inspiration based than before, rather than focusing mostly on what I wear. I love posting outfits and viewing all of yours so I'll certainly be posting absolutely loads once I'm in the money lane.

So glad to be blogging again and visiting the blogs I love (i.e. all of yours) <3

Love Drunkxxx 17

Walter Steiger the legendary luxury shoe designer, has stolen my vulnerable heart with these babies.

I've never been a big fan of animal prints but these beauties are definitely an exception -so exquisitely made from the sexy sophisticated silhouette to the overall design.... perfection <3.

Recently saw Solange Knowles strutting her stuff in these in an editorial for an independent magazine (sorry forgot the details) -all I have to say is lucky bitch!

Knockin' Bootsxxx

The images came out really shitty in this particular post but for the first time it didn't bother me as the blurred quality fits the overall theme I guess.

This post (especially when compared to THIS) perfectly portrays that a set personal style is still along way off for me to discover in the future. I'm only 19 and LOVE experimentation. As I'm maturing, there's certain types of garments that I'm attracted to more than others but there's so many styles to play around with! I believe that solidly set personal styles are for a) the boring b) the content or c) the mature fashionistas that have lived long enough to have tried almost if not everything and who are finally giving it all a rest!

Top (DIYed) - H&M Artists Against Aids Campaign
Skirt - AA
Interlock chain - TS
Jewellary assortment - Mostly highstreet
Boots - Really ancient Timbs!!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY! And since today has been predicted to be the last summery day this year, I made the most of it... milkshake and all!

How nice it is when one's bday falls on a weekend :-) Hope all my fellow bloggers have a great one too! Suck up that sun while you can!

P.S: Once my EBAY store's up and running (hopefully by the start of next year) THIS OPEN-BACK SUMMER DRESS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.

Fall Outxxx

PHOTOGRAHER: Marianna Rothen
STYLING: Wayne Harris
H&MU: Sergey Loginov
MODEL: Jordan Richardson

I thought I'd share one of my favourite editorials with you.

I'm not sure which element draws me to it the most... the old-skool glamour.... the retro quirkiness.... or the timeless sophistication. The vintage quality of the images add that exceptional touch and the equisite styling and makeup keeps me flicking through this editorial over and over.

Feeling Frisky?xxx

Found these interesting silver bangles in my mum's jewellary collection. If I'm correct, the ends have been moulded into ram heads. Pretty cool...

As the 2nd image disguises the true dizzying height of these, here they are in all their glory <3

Still adjusting to my new timetable... having Thursdays and Fridays as 'self-directed' seemed great at first -until I realised how much work we have to do. College + from home -the two don't really mix do they!

P.S: Ever since I saw THIS POST by The Culture Cynic, I knew I just had to purchase a high-waisted leather pencil skirt. This girl's a true inspiration.

Puff-sleeve shirt - Zara
Leather skirt - thirfed (love... even though it's too tight)
Faux fur collar - H&M (highly recommend... it's so versitile)
Nude heels - H&M (my current favourites :-)
Handbag - Vintage Chanel

This pair of images just crack me up!! -I think it's just the smug look on the cat's face in the 2nd photograph. Lol!

I'll hopefully have an outfit post to showcase on here by Monday. I've got some interesting bold ideas I'd like to try out and of course see what my fellow bloggers make of them!

SPENT!xxx

POP magazine (A/W 09)
Issue 21

"Granny-chic" at it's finest.

Love the excessive layering and clever combination of texture, prints and bright coloured garments.

These looks, even toned down wouldn't be for me but I can still see the beauty in them.

If I were he I'd like to think I'd be be just as great... -thinking of this particular F. Scott Fitzgerald noval has reminded me that however much I'm reluctant to, I must pick up the ton of courage I need to speak to my English teacher about my sorry performance in my summer examination. God give me strength as I will more than certainly need it...

Yellow trousers - thifted
Navy blazer - charity store
Tie - vintage Versace
Handbag - Vintage Chanel
